Mission: The mission of Printmaking Department is to reveal and cultivate the creative potential of individuals through an understanding that parallels the dynamics of contemporary art while emphasizing each individual’s unique artistic identity. The department aims to educate artists who are capable of freely interpreting the nature of art, artistic culture, and visual thinking; who can integrate the heritage of traditional printmaking with modern technological possibilities; and who possess a consistent, inquisitive, and research-oriented approach. By combining artistic knowledge with technical mastery, the department aspires to train competent and ethically responsible professional printmakers who will contribute meaningful value to both academic and artistic fields at national and international levels.
Vision: The vision of Printmaking Department is to become a pioneering and contemporary academic unit that expands the boundaries of printmaking art by integrating technical and technological developments into its educational program. Through artist-academicians who combine knowledge with talent, pursue inquiry and critical thinking, and continuously strive for self-improvement, the department aims to strengthen the relationship between art and society. It envisions educating individuals whose original artistic productions in the field of printmaking are recognized as references within the art world, while also serving as an educational institution that contributes to continuous artistic development through innovative artistic projects.
