The “Introduction to Printmaking” Workshop Was Held
Printmaking Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Balıkesir University, organized a workshop titled “Introduction to Printmaking” for students of T.C. Ziraat Bankası Fine Arts High School.
As part of the event held on May 13, 2026, students had the opportunity to become acquainted with various printmaking techniques. Throughout the day-long workshop program, Prof. Dr. Selvihan Kılıç Ateş conducted a workshop on “Sustainable Printmaking,” Associate Prof. Dr. Burçak Balamber led the “Relief Printing” workshop, Dr. Lecturer İbrahim Korkmaz conducted the “Intaglio Printing” workshop, Dr. Lecturer Elif Feyza Türkmen led the “Silk Printing” workshop, and Associate Prof. Dr. Gökçe Aysun Kılıç conducted the “Lithography” workshop.
Held in the Printmaking Department studios at Çağış Campus, the event provided students with the opportunity to experience printmaking techniques through hands-on practice and closely examine the artistic processes involved. The workshop offered an important experiential environment for increasing awareness of the printmaking discipline among art students.
