Assist. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Korkmaz’s Solo Exhibition “Caddecode”

The solo exhibition titled “Caddecode,” prepared within the scope of a project conducted by Dr. Lecturer İbrahim Korkmaz, a faculty member of the Printmaking Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Balıkesir University, has met with art enthusiasts.

Bringing together computer-assisted visual production tools and traditional printmaking techniques, the project aimed to develop innovative production methods by exploring the possibilities of using digital technologies in printmaking art. During the project process, the historical structures of Balıkesir were chosen as the subject matter, and the works produced through digital sketching, an illustrative visual language, and textured surface applications were presented to viewers in the exhibition.

Offering significant artistic and academic outcomes, the project presented original examples of the hybrid use of traditional and digital techniques while drawing attention to the new forms of expression that digital tools bring to the art of printmaking.
