Elif Feyza Türkmen’s Printmaking Exhibition “A Branch, A Memory” Met Art Enthusiasts in Balıkesir

The printmaking exhibition titled “A Branch, A Memory” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Elif Feyza Türkmen, a faculty member of our department, was presented to art enthusiasts at the Balıkesir State Fine Arts Gallery between 20–26 October 2025. The works, produced using the woodcut printing technique, bring together the traces of nature with the emotional layers of the artist’s personal memory.

In her compositions, Türkmen frequently employs the imagery of a branch to explore themes such as past, belonging, longing, and the desire to hold on, offering a strong visual narrative about the relationship between nature, memory, and the human experience. The artist approaches nostalgia not as a static moment, but as a dynamic space of transformation, inviting viewers to confront and reflect upon their own personal memories.

The exhibition “A Branch, A Memory” created an impactful impression by providing the opportunity to interpret emotional memory through an aesthetic and poetic visual language.
